As we move towards the next exciting milestone in the construction of the ACMD building, we wanted to share time-lapse vision of the demolition captured by Kane Constructions, ACMD’s official builder.
For the past seven months, passers-by on their daily commute and visitors to this northern stretch of the city have witnessed the site’s exciting transformative stage.
It’s been an incredible journey watching the former Aikenhead Wing at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne come down one floor at a time in readiness for a new era – as it becomes home to the Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery (ACMD).
The new building is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and will offer specialised research, development and engineering areas with advanced capabilities, as well as an education centre.
