Jeff Malone has stepped down as the CEO of ACMD effective as of last Friday. We thank Jeff for his work and the enormous energy he brought to the role.

Michael Krieg, the former CEO of Mercy Health Services and an experienced healthcare leader, commenced in the role of interim CEO yesterday, Monday 9 February. Michael has overseen the operations of major hospitals nationwide, giving him deep experience in running complex health services and strengthening relationships across clinical, operational and community stakeholders. Alongside his hospital leadership experience, Michael has been actively involved in the research sector through board roles with the Wesley Research Institute and the Fiona Elsey Clinical Research Institute, and as former Board Chair of the Grampians Integrated Cancer Centre. This background positons him well to support ongoing collaboration between healthcare delivery and research. We do not expect any disruptions to research relocation and activation.

The Board will commence the search for a new CEO and keep partners updated on progress.
